WEB TREKKER!!!Files that you have saved to "My Documents" can now be accessed from home so long as you have Internet access. Work can also be submitted to your teachers through the Inbox. A Web Trekker File Browsing icon is now on your desktop. Just click on it and log in!!!
NEWSaving and Submitting Work
Saving Work:
With document open, click on circle icon, top left.
Click on Save As
New box pops open
On left, choose from My Documents
Click on student created subject folder.
Enter file name, then click “Save”.
Submitting Work:
Open “My Documents”
Click on “class folder” to find assignment.
Open “My Documents” again in separate window.
Click on “Class Folder Shortcut”.
Drag assignment from first window to Inbox.
New box opens – Security Warning – Must answer “Yes” to submit work.
Placing work in Portfolios:
From student Sharepoint page, click on Buena chiefs icon.
Scroll down – Log in on bottom left.
Click on “My files” bottom left.
Open Portfolio 2010 – 2011 folder.
Click on “Add File”.
Browse for document.
Double click on document.
Type a title as description.
Click on Upload. ***Tech Requests
Students need to sign up for a "tech request" in room 404. They may stop by anytime between classes. Sign up sheet is on student desk by door. Mr. Wingate will then locate student during lunch or cycle class to address the specific issue. Damaged netbooks need to be reported to Mrs. Walsh in Room 404. A report will be completed, parent will be contacted, and technician will take care of repairs. Tech requests for teachers should be submitted through Sharepoint. Files
